Nicholas Creary received his Bachelor’s degree in History and African Studies at Georgetown University, his Master’s degree in U.S. History from Catholic University, and his doctorate in African history from Michigan State University. He has taught a variety of courses in African, African Diaspora, and African American histories at schools including Georgetown, Marquette University, Ohio University, SUNY Albany, and Bowie State University. He is completing a Master’s in Higher Education Administration at Morgan State University. He has published several books, including African Intellectuals and Decolonization; Domesticating a Religious Import: The Jesuits and the Inculturation of the Catholic Church in Zimbabwe, 1879-1980; and South African Literary Cultural Nationalism—Abalobi beSizwe eMzansi—1918-45: Returning to the Source; and several articles in scholarly journals such as The Historian, the Catholic Historical Review, the Journal of the African Literature Association, and the American Review of Political Economy.
